A person who was a devil while alive, will still be one when lying in the casket. Eccl 11.3. It is disgusting to hear someone trying to preach a person into heaven at a funeral. No matter what might be said about a dead person, such words won?t help because the person will be judged by their works which follow them to the grave. Rev 14.13. Rev 20.12. Eccl 12.14.
If the deceased died not being pleasing to the Lord, that person will not enter heaven. John 8.21. Only people who have obeyed the Lords word will enter heaven, so it is very important that a person understands what the will of the Lord is. Matt 7.21. Eph 5.17 If something is to be said at a funeral about the deceased, it should be about the good things done or pleasant times one had with the deceased. But talking about the deceased being in heaven, etc. needs to be shunned. The deceased could have been engaging in secret sins which others knew nothing about. Psa 19.12-13. Psa 90.8 So go to the funeral and help comfort others as best as you can and leave the entrance into heaven to God. Luke 12.5. The Corona virus is still here. And if you are reading these words; so are you. This is a time for men to reflect upon how they have been living. Ask yourself; do I have interest in the things of God?
There is a message called the gospel of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Do you know what it teaches? Are you aware that the message tells you to accept its plea before you die in your sins? John 8:21-24. All men are sinners and need to turn their lives around so that they can be approved by God, and that is what the Lord does with the gospel. Mark 16:15-16. Roman 1:14-16.1 Cor 15.1-4. 1 Cor 9.16-22. Rom 3.23-25. After a rough time, such as we have experienced, soul searching is indeed the way to look at all of this. If man doesn?t repent and goes back to the same old same old as before; he will perish. Luke 13:3. Seek God before its too late. Obey the word of God while you can. No one is promised tomorrow and already many have died unprepared to meet God at the Judgment. The Corona virus is everywhere changing lives for the worst and bringing mankind to his knees. The finger of God must be in this disease because it is too well crafted; just look at what it is doing. First of all, it is global. Crawling around to every country, sticking its tentacles into every faucet of human existence and even animals!
The doctors and hospitals are miserable trying to deal with this invisible enemy. The economy, which was full of jobs about 60 days ago, has lost those jobs. Claims for unemployment is now over 6 million are more. We have lost over 96% of our entertainment. Just going outside the house could put one into a casket. etc If it is the finger of God; then why? When God gets mad at man, He punishes man with the intent to scare man into repentance. In the bible, we have evidence of the Lord doing just that to offenders. Deut 28:15-68. Right now, is a good time for all to reconsider their attitudes toward the God and the bible which is His word. Let man repent, start obeying God and use His word as the light which guides our paths. How many readers will consider the appeal? These are the Lord's instructions. Each household should gather as much as it needs. Pick up two quarts for each person in your tent. And the people of Israel did as they were told, but some gathered a lot and some only a little.
And when they measured it out, everyone had just enough. Those who gathered a lot had nothing left over and those who gathered only a little had enough. Each family had just what it needed afterwards Moses told them, "Do not keep any of it until morning." But some of them didn't listen and kept some until morning and by then it was full of maggots and had a terrible smell; and Moses got very angry with them. After this the people gathered the food morning by morning, each family according to its need. And as the sun became hot, the flakes they had not picked up melted and disappeared. On the sixth day, they gathered twice as much as usual - four quarts for each person instead of two. Then all the leaders of the community came and asked Moses for an explanation. He told them, "This is what the Lord commanded: Tomorrow will be a day of complete rest, a holy Sabbath day set apart for the Lord. Bake or boil as much as you want today and set aside what is left for tomorrow." They put some aside until morning, just as Moses had commanded. And in the morning the leftover food was wholesome and good, without maggots or odor. Moses said, "Eat this food today, for today is a Sabbath day dedicated to the Lord. There will be no food on the ground for that day. You may gather the food for six days, but the seventh day is the Sabbath. There will be no food on the ground for that day." Some of the people went out anyway on the seventh day, but they found no food. The Lord asked Moses, "How long will these people refuse to obey my commands and instructions? They must realize that the Sabbath is the Lord's gift to you. That is why he gives you a two-day supply on the sixth day, so there will be enough for two days. On the Sabbath day you must each stay in your place. Do not go out to pick up food on the seventh day." Ex 16.1-30 |
