Change is not something that people like to do because it requires work and going into unfamiliar territory. But change we must, if we expect to see God's face in peace on Judgment Day. Man isn't born with a relationship with God. That relationship must be formed by man accepting God's plan of salvation and by doing that, man establishesfriendship with the Creator (John 15:10, 14; John 6:45; Romans 6:1–18; John 8:31–32; 1 John 2:3–6). The warning from God to man, "is repent or perish," (Luke 13:3). Repenting isn't a matter of opinion, but it is a very necessary act (Acts 17:30). Look at this verse, "Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God," (Matthew 5:8). Being pure in heart is a quality one obtains by conforming to the principles of God's word. Now the flip side is, one who isn't pure in heart, won't see God. Here is another verse, "Be ye also ready, for Jesus will come when you think not," (Matthew 24:44). Getting ready to meet Christ means applying change or be lost for eternity (Matt. 25:46). Consider yourself as you are right now; are you willing to make a change? I mean not change to what you want but changing to be as God expects you to be. If one wishes to go to heaven, he or she must change because the only way a person will get to heaven is to live God's way (Matt. 7:21; Revelation 22:13–15). If you are convinced of your need for change, we can help. Hope to hear from you or see you at the services. This is only for people who believe the Bible to be God's word.
Driving brings out the worst in people—all the impatience, not being considerate, rudeness, wrath, thinking you are above the law, and rushing to get from here to there. Ask any state trooper who has seen his share of highway wrecks, and that officer will tell you that everyone of those evil attitudes lead to crashes. Drivers will honk at a person who won't turn at a light when the sign clearly says, "No turn on red." Some will speed up when another desires to change lanes, rather than hold back and let the person who wishes to change lanes to do so. Speed limit signs are invisible to some; the sign might as well say 80 MPH rather than 55 MPH because they are driving 80, and it's not going to be any other way! Some honk and curse at other drivers who might be a little slow when pulling into a driveway or parking lot, and that isn't necessary. There can be two cars at a light, and a third car will drive past the two and go right through the red light! And don't mention a light changing from yellow to red—the drivers traveling at 40 MPH are going through if the light is yellow, red, if pedestrian is walking into the street, or whatever! The Bible contains verses that every driver should read and reflect upon before getting behind the wheel. Read these verses and prevent a lot of trouble for yourself and others (Luke 6:31; James 1:19; Luke 21:19; Ephesians 4:31–32; Philippians 4:6–7; Eph. 5:18; 1 Peter 2:13–15; Romans 13:1–5). The interest in pornographic material is big business in this country. Just last year, the movie companies in the San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles reported record-breaking revenues from their industry. It is too bad that some people take great interest in producing porn and marketing it because porn is a blemish on society, and it operates in the same manner that drugs do. The drug dealer produces his drugs then puts them on the market so they will flow into communities, destroying lives physically and most definitely spiritually. Man can not please God if he is taking illegal drugs, and those who desire porn cannot please God either. Porn promotes fornication, adultery, homosexuality, and addiction. Many people say they have a right to view whatever they want in their home or wherever such is permitted. That I won't argue with—but let me add something these people don't think about—God will judge one's deeds on the Judgment Day, and if God hates porn, He will condemn man on that Day (2 Corinthians 5:10–11). Say no to porn—get away from it and keep your mind focused on things that are good, honest, and of good report (Philippians 4:7–8; 2 Timothy 2:19–22).
