There are neighboring countries that have missiles pointed at each other. At any moment of anger, they can push a button and blow a hole in the country next door. So much for being a good neighbor.
The bible speaks of being neighborly as a good thing. Neighbors are companions close by, should help be needed. That is why the bible teaches to love thy neighbor. Jas 2.8. Eph 4.25 Rom 13.10. Rom 15.2. Pro 27.10 However, we may not have people pointing rockets at each other; but many are unfriendly and hostile toward neighbors. And some of these wicked people might even have guns pointed toward a neighbor’s house. Man needs to return to the instructions that the word of God has taught concerning getting along with fellow men and especially if they live next door. Pro 3.29. Pro 11.12. Pro 14.21. Pro 15.3. Zech 8.17. Rom 12.18.

There is no reason for you to be afraid to visit the mt airy church of Christ. We welcome all who wish to learn about the word of God because that is what we have to offer. Many people come to churches looking for what they have fixed in their minds. I ask you not to do so. As a local church of the Lord, we can only provide to the public what the word of the Lord teaches. If we do otherwise, we will no longer be scriptural and when that happens, one is not abiding in the doctrine of Christ. 2 John 9. Come in and you will receive greetings and sit down with the rest of us and at the appointed time of the service, we will worship the Lord in spirit and in truth. John 4.24. This week sounds like a good time; we hope you are ready to learn the word of God. Isa 2.1-3. Psa 122.1-9 As a person is facing death, they are asked for any last words. Here are some last words
spoken in the bible. The king did not remember the kindness which Zechariah’s father, shown him, but killed his son. And as he lay dying, he said, “May the Lord see and avenge!” 2 Chr 24.22 Jesus, cried with a loud voice, “Father, into thy hands I commit my spirit!” Afterwards he breathed his last. Luke 23.46 And as they were stoning Stephen, he prayed, “Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.” He knelt and cried with a oud voice, “Lord, do not hold this sin against them.” And when he had spoken, he died. Acts 7.59-60 Last words are legendary and must fit the occasion. Seek ye out of the book of the Lord, and read: no one of these shall fail, none shall want her mate: for my mouth it hath commanded, and His spirit it hath gathered them.
Isa 34.16 There is too much tv watching, phone and computer surfing, and pretty much everything else. So much that, most of the people have no time for bible reading. That is a shame because ignorance of the bible will prevail. I would like to inform that you need to read the bible. It is the book of the Lord, and you cannot know Him without knowing it. John 5:39. Start today. Genesis chapter 1 today and Matthew chapter 1 tomorrow. That is a good and safe start.. Let us know how it goes. There are many things going on that I don’t like because they are violations of the word of God. 2 Peter 2.7-8. I spend a great deal of time writing, teaching, and speaking to people about getting themselves ready to meet the Lord when He appears to judge this world according to its works.
2 Cor 5.10. Most people have rejected our plea and that is mind blowing. Rom 10.15-21. Even after living with the covid pandemic seeing death and suffering, people still won’t repent. Rev 9.20-21. But you know what? Rejection, frustration, and disappointment with the choices people make, are all in a day’s work for the faithful. We know how much mankind has proven hate toward the word of God. John 3.16-21. We get discouraged because we are human, but we will never stop seeking lost souls because God hasn’t stopped. Ezekiel 18.21-24. 2 Peter 3.9. To the faithful, stand up for Christ. Seek the lost and speak the gospel. And if people won’t listen, move on. Acts 18.5-7. Matt 7.6. Matt 10.14 |
