Bad behavior in public schools exist because of the loss of morality in the home. When no teaching of what is right is done and enforced by parents; the children will do their own thing. This may mean they will learn from the wrong kind of people and when that happens it will not be strange to see a student bring a weapon to school. 1 Cor 15:33. 1 Cor 5:6. In public schools that are bad, there are many frighten teachers, incompetent teachers and thank God, great teachers! Outside, many stressed parents continue to work two and three jobs in to pay for private school and some parents are up to no good. But morality must be taught at home and carried by students into the public school system. On the other hand, the government must see that schools get the funding and materials that are needed to do the job of educating these young minds of tomorrow. Man cannot achieve this goal without God, so let us not forget His word as we look into this matter Isa 1:4-20. Pro 11:11. Pro 14:34. Jonah 3:4-10. 1 Sam 12:24-25. Deut 28: 1-68. Eccl 12:13-14.

This Church is located on a very busy Ave which has cleaners who daily sweep a three-mile radius of this street. The cleaners constantly get rid of litter thrown down by the irresponsible. The cleaners do a great job, but in hours litter is present again and the cleaners have to do their job all over again. I thought about something that the Bible teaches about the blood of Jesus Christ in 1 John 1.7-9 “But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleans from all sin. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” The work of the blood is the same as those street cleaners. It keeps the saved person clean from sin. The bad thing is, whenever sin occurs it needs to be cleaned up. Thank God, the blood is always on duty. Can men destroy the earth? No, man cannot destroy the earth. That action will go to the Almighty who created it. Ex 20.11. God said He would destroy the earth on Judgment Day with fire which no one can comprehend. 2 Peter 3.10-13. When God built the earth, he knew that men would do things which threaten its existence. God set up the foundations of the earth so that man cannot touch it. What that means is, it’s indestructible as far as man is concerned. Eccl 1.4. Psa 104.5. Psa 72.5. Psa 119.89-91. So don't get excited or afraid when you hear someone like the President of Russia talking about destroying the earth with nuclear weapons. Laugh at him. No nation, regardless of its nukes, will be able to destroy this earth. Rest easy, let not your heart be troubled, God won’t allow a nuclear weapon to get the job done. Acts 17.31. In Matt 17:8, we read “when the disciples open their eyes, they saw no one but Jesus only.”
So guess what? Man needs to see the same today. We don’t need anything else but the One who died for our sins and that is the Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. Matt 1:21. Acts 4:12. There is so much out there trying to get our attention and many are asking that we pay money. For example, we have a lot of authors writing so called self devoplement books and promoting those books on tv and radio, book signings, etc. But you don’t need their books, instead you need information from the One who will save you at the end of your life. John 5:24. John 6:63:68. John 8:51. John 12:47. The words of a famous person on tv is simply his words and those words have no saving power, because chances are the words weren’t created by him. Also if you read his book, you will see that he took much from the words of the bible. So all those books telling us how to be happy or how to have a great marriage, etc, are nothing new. Such information has already been spoken centuries ago by the Lord. Psa 146:3-5. Col 3:18-21 gives a challenge to the family, so take a few moments to read the following verses and see how your life matches up. Verse 18, Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as it is fit in the Lord. Verse 19, Husbands, love your wives, and be not bitter against them. Verse 20, Children, obey your parents in all things: for this is well pleasing unto the Lord. Verse 21, Fathers, provoke not your children to anger, lest they be discouraged. How did you match up? Is there anything you need to change? Have you been doing what the bible teaches in these matters? Only you can answer these questions and they must be answered truthfully because your soul is at stake. Rom 14: 11-12. it. Can man judge God? Job 40:1-5. I mean can the thing created challenge the Creator
by saying; “Why have you done this or why have you made me this way?” Rom 9:20-22. The answer is “no”. God exists and He is the creator of all things. Col 1:14-22. With that being the case, He is at liberty to do whatever He wants and in whatever way He desires. Man who cannot even give himself life, is in no position to argue with his Maker. A man may be foolish enough to try and match wits with the Lord, but be assured that man will lose the debate. The book of Job, chapters 38, 39, and 40. There have been those who read the Bible and then second guess something which the Lord does and that isn’t showing respect to their Maker. For God isn’t man and He is above our thinking. 1 Sam 15:28-29. Job 9:32. Isa 55:7-9. How is it that a person would do such a thing like correcting God? I ask this question, “do you have a better way then God, and if so, what?” God is God and man is man, so we best attempt to understand God and not challenge His ways. We will not only lose, but will be judged by the Lord on the Judgement Day for acting so foolishly. Heb 4:13. 1 Cor 4:5. Saving for a rainy day, is supported by the word of God.
Just look at the example of the young man who got his inheritance and wasted it on partying. Luke 15:11-13. Had he not done so, money would have been left for him to live on. Luke 15:14-17. The Bible teaches wise men will have money in their accounts, while foolish blow it. Pro 21:20, Eph 4:28, teaches men to work and have surplus funds to help those in need. In Matt 25:27, the lazy servant could have put his Master money in the bank, so it could gain interest. But he didn’t. Jesus taught that we should “count the cost” before doing anything, and that certainly can be applied to the use of money. Money isn’t something that we should be in love with. It can’t be taken with us at death. Matt 6:19-21. 1 Tim 6:7-10. Job 1:21. Psa 49:15-20. But that doesn’t mean we waste our money and not be able to pay rent. Eccl 11:1-2. A lot of people enjoy getting drunk; they consider it a relaxing time, a reward, etc. I don’t agree. Here are the reasons I don’t get drunk. First of all the word of God said don’t do it. Eph 5.18. I also like to know what is going on around me, if I’m drunk, that will not the case. Gen 9.20-24. Gen 19.30-36. Another reason is people can take advantage of a drunk person. I’m talking about rape, robbery, being framed for a crime, etc. Pro 23.29-35 To get into that kind of trouble over drinking, just isn’t worth it. I will get my enjoyment from something which isn’t condemned by the word of the Lord. 1 Peter 3.10-12. A man and woman get married and then plan to have children.
By planning, the financial and emotional ability will be present in both, thereby making child rearing a joy and not a hardship. Because they want to be a good example, they aren’t control by liquor and don’t use drugs. When it comes to education, the parents turn the tv off and help the children do homework. This couple also attend parent teacher meetings. Because children are in the house, they recognize that using profanity will not set a good example for their children to follow. Good parents don’t fight in front of the children or bear grudges against each other. Good parents won’t badmouth each other to their children. If you have children at home, these are a few good points to consider. Pro 22.6. The city of Philadelphia has a woman slated to become the next mayor. Many people are praising her and saying that she is the answer to the city's problems. I don’t want to degrade this woman and I hope if she is elected mayor; that she does well.
But there is a bigger picture here and that is human behavior. This city along with many communities is suffering because people aren’t living right. People don't go to church and the bible is mocked and forgotten. The bible needs to be followed by men and women everywhere. The commandments do not steal, don’t murder, don’t lie, cheat, respect your neighbors, help the weak, be respectful of others, show good behavior in the schools and in the streets. etc All these things can be learned by studying the Bible and going to church. No person elected as mayor is going to save us from ourselves. We must save ourselves by repenting and embracing the word of the Lord. Each person must do so now, before its too late. |
